Micronic has introduced a new automated instrument
that accelerates the time consuming process of applying and removing
screw caps from sample storage tubes.
In addition to delivering significant productivity gains, the
Automated Screw Cap Handler lowers the risk of sample contamination.
To ensure optimal seal quality on samples, it simultaneously
processes all 96 tubes in a rack with each cap receiving the same
torque.
The Automated Screw Cap Handler is designed to fit on a laboratory
bench top or inside an environmentally controlled cabinet. Built for
versatility, the instrument's compatible with the complete Micronic
range of screw cap tubes and tube racks.

Direct
chemilluminescent imaging of gene expression,
without the need for
extraction or amplification!
 The FireFly Imaging System from HT Genomics Inc. is used
with proprietary quantitative nuclease protection assay kits for
direct measurement of gene expression on multiple targets
simultaneously in a range of sample types including formalin fixed
paraffin embedded tissues without the need for extraction or
amplification. Researchers can choose from a menu of arrays in areas
such as toxicology, cardiology, oncology, inflammation and
apoptosis. The system features a CCD camera that can image multiple
targets for an entire 96-well plate in about 15 minutes.
